There are currently 22 current or former combat veterans PER DAY committing suicide due to depression and homesickness. We have a goal of 2500 gloves, 1250 baseballs, and $14,000.00 to raise by the end of the 2013 baseball season (October). There are a few key steps in this process.
  1. One of them has already been accomplished, which was to raise the money needed to file for non-profit status with the State of California!
  2. Next is raising the money to apply for exempt status with the IRS. If you or your business would like to help out with that, message us for details.
  3. We are also thankful to have the 66ers Baseball Club (affiliate of the Angels) and their GM Ryan English on board helping.  If you have a new or “previously loved” baseball or baseball glove, we’d love to have it send to our men and women fighting overseas. The 66ers will give you a voucher for 50% off of all tickets (anywhere in the stadium) bought for opening day, as a thank you for any donation between now and the opener (April 4th). Cash donations to cover shipping costs are also needed, and you’ll get a voucher for those donations as well. All donors will be entered into a monthly drawing, the prizes for which have been donated from the Los Angeles Angels, The 66ers, NikoNiko Redlands, The Spaghetti Factory, Arrowhead Country Club, Redlands Ford, Hangar 24 Brewery, Quality Carpet Cleaning, Hampton Inn, Eureka Burger, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and more to come. Please help us with this cause… If we can save one life…
